Marble & stone interiorsBathrooms, kitchens & architectural details

Architectural stonework, precisely detailed.

Marble and stone details from KBM’s residential work, including bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, floors and stairs. A collection of installations across different interiors.

The character of stone changes with its setting. In a bathroom, the veining can connect a wall, bath surround and shower; in a hallway, borders and inlaid details give definition to the floor. These installations show different approaches to colour, pattern and proportion, from quiet tonal surfaces to more expressive contrasts.

The finish depends on how the individual pieces come together. Panel alignment, corners, recesses and the relationship with taps, cabinetry and lighting all need to be considered before installation. The photographs bring those details into view, including a veined shower enclosure, contrasting stair finishes and an illuminated kitchen island.
